The battle for theatre began with an aesthetic issue. The experiences, the practices, the relationships between the bodies, the organization of the spaces, the acoustic modulations, the vocal manifestations, the legacy of memories and bonds constitute the horizons of this call to arms.

We intervene in two dimensions of time: the time of history that brings us the voices from 1967 and the time of the present, of those present, in which some of the questions raised by the Ivrea Manifesto continue to vibrate. Because neither the destiny, nor the path of theatre, is a teleological one, and its history is always dis-oriented. What is important, what is being explored here, is not the new, not a new-new theatre, but the resistance of a critical stance and a striving for beauty against the normalization of taste and the logic of the market.

We accept the risk of the audience and its tensions. Public space, diffuse production, the plurality of institutions as generative territories, to explore. The audience to summon back to the theatre. This is not a single event we are creating, but the beginning of a dimension that extends across a span of four years, along which we will verify, confirm, subvert that which will progressively come to light. To experiment with a shared place and time that create maps, alliances, tactics for a possible Common.
